Michael DeBellas

Michael‘s unrivaled vision, passion and leadership keeps the company focused and our quality of work top notch. Michael epitomizes the ‘American Dream’. From America’s cherished tradition of humble beginnings, he launched what has become one of the New York City’s most visible, successful Exterior Restoration empires. Michael keeps the company focused by motivating by example from business development to rolling up his sleeves for the hands-on work that goes along with day to day operations.

Michael began his construction career as a NYC roofer for over 8 years before he became a Sales Manager for 2 of the largest Exterior Restoration firms in New York City. In 1996 he went out on his own and started MDB Development. With Michael’s vast work experience and keen business acumen, he brings together a balance of both client experience and leadership that inspired him to make MDB a firm that offers the industry’s highest level of personalized support in the Tri-State Region.

Michael consults with real estate owners and managers regarding productivity, quality, budgeting and scheduling. He‘s a respected expert in the industry and has the invaluable ability to translate a client’s goal into actionable strategy. Michael excels at articulating concepts and educating clients so they can make empowered and informed business decisions regarding cost savings.

In his free time, Michael generously donates his time and money toward providing a better education for students who have merit but no means. Amongst his various philanthropic contributions, Michael continuously supports over 25 different charitable organizations that contribute to the education and empowerment of women, children, families, Wounded Warriors and various hospitals. His greatest joy is his daughter.


Michelle DeBella

Executive Assistant

Michelle is an immersed industry professional, a skilled problem solver, and an organizational genius. She handles operational tasks and account management and sees to it that projects stay on task, goals are met, and clients are happy. Michelle keeps everything on track in our-fast paced environment.

Before joining MDB, Michelle gained extensive experience by working for one of the largest New York City engineering firms for over 10 years.

Michelle has served as the Co-Chair on the board for St. John Vianney High School’s fundraising events since 2009. Her leadership, vision, tireless energy and creativity continue to make their events the largest and most successful fundraisers that they’ve ever had in the school’s history.

Her background and education with a B.A. in Fine Arts has made her a great steward of arts and culture. She is an avid traveler and a baking/pastry chef and she enjoys experiencing and sharing such things with family and friends as much as possible.


Stephen DeBellas

Stephen has responsibility for upholding strong financial management and accountability while providing timely, accurate, and reliable financial information and enhancing internal control for MDB Development Corporation.

Stephen has over 11 years of financial services experience working with various clients in the banking, commercial construction and the commercial real estate sectors. Stephen assists clients on technical accounting issues. Stephen holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Finance from St. John’s and is a valuable asset to MDB and an integral part of our accounting and financial departments.

When he’s not in the office, you can find him out and about with friends enjoying one of New York City’s many concerts, restaurants, festivals, or sporting events.


Jonathan DeBellas

Vice President, Rigging

Whether he’s designing a special rig, planning equipment set-up, or building a scaffold, Jonathan is a man that can make anything work. His insistence on absolute accuracy and delivering only the best results ensures all MDB projects are in perfect form. Jonathan works with our clients and the MDB project team to ensure that not only are their ideas turned into reality, but also that the final product is practical and cost effective. Johnathan has over 12 years of experience in exterior restoration and also has a Special Rigger License. He is responsible for contracting services, rigging, moving machinery, management, safety and customer service.

Jonathan has developed fantastic relationships with our clients. He strives for on-time completion, compliance of all OSHA safety and health guidelines, and coordination and communication between all workers that ensures that their projects are being managed effectively. His vision of the future and his ability to keep our organization operating efficiently has contributed greatly to Jonathan’s success.

When he’s not working, Jonathan enjoys playing all sports, making people laugh, and spends the rest of his free time with his wife and their newborn son.


Nick Fiorello

Vice President, Rigging

Nick has an impeccable track record at MDB and is an expert in construction that includes: Roofing, Rigging Systems, Caulking, Logistics, Scheduling, Safety and Personnel Management. He has a thorough understanding of all technical aspects of Field Operations. Nick demonstrates tenacity and a sense of urgency on every project to ensure realistic and consistent outcomes and delivery of services to all of MDB’s clients.

Nick’s diverse skill sets provide a sophisticated grasp on even the most theoretical aspects of Rigging, Masonry, Scaffolding and Caulking, but his real passion comes from applying that knowledge and working with his team to deliver the outstanding results that our clients expect. He has the capacity and ability to function as the leader and standard bearer for Best in Class Field Operations and has been promoted throughout his tenure at MDB for over 6 years.

In his spare time, Nick enjoys the company of his wife and 2 children and has a passion for antiques autos.
